I have long requested the Road Development Department to upgrade the Kokuvil West Road, which is under the jurisdiction of the Road Development Department, to a protective road and submitted a written request to the Director of the Development Department, Northern Province, on 09.12.2025. Following that, I have been informed several times about the reconstruction of the said road and the Road Development Department is currently taking steps to upgrade the said road to a protective road. As someone who is well aware of the condition of the said road during the rainy season and considering the improvement of the livelihood of the people of the area, I express my heartfelt gratitude for complying with this request presented on behalf of the people of the area and taking steps to upgrade the said road to a protective road before the onset of the rainy season. On behalf of myself and the people of Kokuvil West, I express my heartfelt gratitude to the Northern Provincial Director of the Road Development Department, the Director of the Road Development Department, Engineer Mr. Jerosan, and the acting Engineer of the Road Development Department, Mr. Nirosan, for their cooperation in carrying out the said work.
